Governance & Cooperation

Blanchardstown and Inner City Home Care is a not-for-profit organisation, which means that our primary focus is on client care that benefits the people we serve and is not on profitability.

There are clear lines of accountability for the service we provide. Carers are accountable to their supervisors. Supervisors and the Scheduling Team work together to ensure the delivery of a quality service to all our clients. The Manager is accountable to the voluntary Board of Management, who oversee the organisation.

In 2016 we joined forces with five other community-based home care organisations to form Dublin Home Care Partners, a consortium which has allowed us to continue developing our close relationship with the HSE as a preferred home care partner.

We are founding members of the National Community Care Network, an organisation that represents 26 not-for-profit home care providers across Ireland.

The Blanchardstown and Inner City Home Care board is made up of volunteers with a wide range of expertise in the provision of home support and who are committed to overseeing the delivery of quality care to our service users.

We have operated in the community since the 1970’s but were formally established in 2001. Our Chairperson, Mrs. Anne Boyle, ran a Section 39 Home Care Provider for many years and our Company Secretary Mr. Pat Lane has extensive experience in the Irish Health Care Sector.

Our board comprises a group of seven committed individuals who provide advice and guidance to the management team.

Kristin Quinn – Manager

Kristin became manager in January 2022. With a background in homecare she has also worked in the energy sector, communications and politics. Kristin holds a Master’s in Business Administration

Julie Freeman – Supervisor

Julie joined the company as a Home Care Worker in 2002. Her dedication to care was soon recognised and she became a Supervisor in 2003. Her many years of service with Blanchardstown and Inner City Home Care and her passion for care along with her work ethic have allowed her to fit perfectly into this role. Julie is committed to ensuring the provision of excellent service for our clients and supporting our care team in delivering this. She now manages the Dublin 15 and Navan Road area.

Helen has been working with Blanchardstown and Inner City Home Care since 2005. In her role she supports the scheduling team to ensure that service delivery for our clients runs smoothly.
