Blanchardstown & Inner City Home Care is seeking to recruit a Home Care Supervisor to meet the growing needs of the business in North Dublin.

The Role:

The Home Care Supervisor, who will be responsible for a specific geographic area within Dublin 7 & 15, will ensure the safe and effective delivery of home care services to our clients’ through the supervision of a team of Home Support Workers..

This is an excellent progression opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Supervisor to join our client’s business and take responsibility for ensuring the delivery of the highest quality, person-centred care to our client’s service users and the support and development of the dedicated team in Dublin 1 & 7.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support (5M4339) and a QQI Level 6 in Supervisory Management (6N4329) or be working towards.
  • Have previous relevant experience in home care provision in a Supervisory or Management role and have a detailed knowledge of Service Users with special needs, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health issues etc.
  • Have excellent knowledge and experience of the Healthcare Industry especially the Home Care Sector in Ireland
  • Experience in leading and managing teams.

  • This is a permanent contract of employment subject to completion of a 6-month probation period.
  • This is a full-time role. The working week is 37.5 hours, 8.30 – 16.30 Monday to Friday.
  • It may be necessary to work some evenings and weekends and to facilitate reviews and supervision visits.
  • Our office is at North City Business Park, North Road, Finglas, Dublin 11, Eircode D11TYX2, at the Finglas exit of the M50. There is the opportunity for hybrid working for the right candidate.

Schedule

  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • 8.30 – 16.30.
  • Some evening and weekend work may be required.

General Responsibilities

The Home Care Supervisor will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading a team of Home Support Workers in delivering excellence in care as per professional standards, our clients service level agreements, policy, procedures and agreed Company targets.
  • Ensuring that all Home Support workers are trained, supervised, and supported in delivering the best care to clients.
  • Completing Engagement and Performance Reviews as required. Managing Health and Safety requirements for Home Support Workers as per Health and Safety Policy.
  • Conducting NCCA Audits and other regular check-ins with the Care Team
  • Conducting annual Assessments and Quarterly Reviews with Service Users
  • Providing extra management and oversight in the provision of care in complex cases and to have a regular presence in these homes to support Home Support Workers and closely monitor Service User condition.
  • Being the primary link between the Company and the HSE Community Health Team
  • Managing any feedback delivered on the service in line with Company/regulatory process and address in a timely manner.
  • Escalating concerns to the Manager
  • Management and delivery of reports and KPI’s to business as required.
  • Other ad hoc duties as may be assigned to support the operation of the business.

The Home Care Supervisor is not required to deliver a minimum number of direct home care per week, but will be available to provide cover for new clients, to cover leave and in emergency situations.

Essential Requirements

In addition to the qualifications above, the person will also:

  • Have a demonstrated passion for delivering a quality healthcare service in line with the Company ethos
  • Be a clear and effective communicator with the ability to connect with team members, service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Be discreet with the ability to always maintain confidentiality in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, engage and motivate a team.
  • Be organised, flexible, adaptable, a great problem solver and able to manage change in a fast-paced environment.

Other requirements include:

  • A full clean driving license and access to own transport
  • Garda Clearance Certificate (this will be arranged for you)q
